IPL 2018 match preview: Qualifier 1 - SRH vs CSK
The stage is set for Qualifier 1 of VIVO IPL 2018 when southern rivals Surnrisers Hyderabad and the Chennai Super Kings clash with each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai tonight. The winner of today's game proceed straight to the final on May 27, also scheduled at Wankhede.

While SRH finished first on the league table, CSK finished second having 18 points each with just a slight difference in net run rate separating the two teams.

The loser of today's game will, however, get another shot by getting to play in Qualifier 2 at Kolkata on May 25.

While Chennai dashed Kings XI Punjab's hopes of making to the playoffs with a five-wicket win in their last game, Hyderabad have suffered three defeats on the trot, coincidentally, the first one coming at the hands of CSK on May 13 in Pune which ended their six-match winning streak.

CSK definitely seem to hold an edge over SRH having beaten their southern rival twice in season 11 of the Indian Premier League.

The batting of SRH largely rests on the shoulders of skipper Kane Williamson, who has emerged as the second highest run-getter this IPL season with 661 runs and Shikhar Dhawan, who has so far scored 437 in IPL 2018. However, rest of their batsmen especially in the middle order such as the likes of Manish Pandey have been found wanting.

But the talking point of this season has been SRH's bowling. The three danger men for Hyderabad's bowlers in today's game are Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu and skipper MS Dhoni who have been in sublime form.

In a head-to-head record, out of the total 8 matches that have been played between the two sides while CSK has won 6 and SRH has won 2.
