KKR vs MI: Kolkata require at least three wins from four games to cross the line
In match 41 of VIVO IPL 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders host the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday night. Despite playing at home KKR are under pressure as they need to win at least three out of their remaining four games to push themselves further up the IPL points table and avoid the risk of being ousted by a team from the lower half of the table.

KKR are currently placed at number four in the table with just 15 matches left before the palyoffs begin as the tournament heads towards its business end.

Another worrying factor for KKR is that two of their remaining matches are against table toppers SRH and KXIP.

Honestly, SRH and CSK are the two sides who look most likely to lift the IPL 2018 trophy owing to their consistent performances and momentum.

KKR on the other hand seems to have lost steam a bit too early. Cruising at one stage and seemingly looking to make it the the playoffs comfortably, KKR suffered a jolt last Sunday after losing to MI in Mumbai.

In sharp contrast MI is oozing with confidence having beaten KXIP and KKR in their last two games. After their customary slow start, MI looks to be gaining momentum at the right time.

Having said that, KKR have evolved into a good bowling unit with the progress of the tournament especially with respect to their bowling in the death overs. While they gave away just 87 runs in the last 10 overs against CSK, in the match against MI their bowlers conceded just 86 runs. But from here on, every game becomes do-or-die for both the teams and mistakes become sins.

Despite a head-to-head record of 17-5 in Mumbai's favour, things still stand even. The side which holds on to its nerves will be the eventual winner.
