Santa Claus emojis become popular for seasonal greetings on social media
Santa Claus, known in some countries as Father Christmas, brings joy to children at Christmas time. Over the years, due to media and market hype, Christmas has become a global festival for merry-making rather than a religious festival.

Social media has popularized the trend of sending greetings of the season that feature a Santa Claus emoji has become a new social media trend.

Now, Google, Apple, Microsoft, facebook and Twitter have come out with Santa Claus emojis which are becoming popular with the social media users. has carried out a list of emoji for Christmas celebrations. The list has Father Christmas, tree, glowing star, baby angel, wrapped present, snowflake, fire, bell, etc., as emoji motifs.

Schools in India are promoting Santa Claus fancy dress competitions these days and the sale of designer dresses is upbeat. Shopping malls have started positioning people dressed as Santa Claus distributing goodies to children for promoting the sale of Christmas gifts.

Father Christmas, also known as Santa Claus or St. Nick, has become a well known jolly good old fellow among urban kids who delivers presents to children at Christmas time and he is fond of cakes and cookies.

Emoji are the ideograms or smileys used in Japanese electronic messages and webpages, the use of which is spreading emoticons or kaomoji, but a wider range is provided, and the icons are standardized and built into the cell-phones, computer key-boards and handsets.
